Promotes "Nagaland Arrow"

Game Components:

  • Bow: 3ft long, made from local bamboo.
  • Arrow: 1ft long, made from local bamboo.
  • String: 2ft long, made from local bamboo.

Objective: Create 15,000-20,000 job opportunities for educated unemployed youth in 2024, thereby providing job opportunities for the educated unemployed youths of the State.

Participants: Most participants are educated unemployed youths who will be rewarded for each game won and given an opportunity to become permanent members of "The Association".

Winners: Winners will be declared based on predicting the exact number of arrows shot before the conclusion of the time allotted.

Result Declaration: Results from the games competed in the two specified times (3:30 PM and 4:30 PM) will be declared, and the winners will be rewarded accordingly.

Live Telecast: Results of the game will be telecast 'Live' on social media via "Youtube".

Surplus Benefits: Surplus monetary benefit derived from the game will be accordingly donated to various charitable institutions such as:

MEMORANDUM/ARTICLE OF ASSOCIATION, CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS

INTRODUCTION:

"ASSOCIATION OF NAGA INDIGENOUS GAMES AND SPORTS" (ANIGS) is a non-profit, grass-root level organization initiated by the Indigenous inhabitant people community residing in Dimapur, Nagaland with the purpose to strive towards meaningful progress and development of Indigenous games and sports.

NOMENCLATURE:

The Name of the Association Shall be "ASSOCIATION OF NAGA INDIGENOUS GAMES AND SPORTS" and also known as "ANIGS" in short.

AREA OF OPERATION/JURISDICTION:

The peripheral jurisdiction of the Association shall be the entire Dimapur District including any area within Nagaland wherein the Indigenous sporting community are willing to subscribe to the memorandum/article of Association of the ANIGS.

The registered office of the society is situated at House No 763,THAHEKHU VILLAGE, Dimapur District, Nagaland, India

DEFINITION:

In this By-Laws, unless otherwise specified or required to context:

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:

  1. To encourage thrift and self-help amongst the members and to safeguard and sustain the various Indigenous sporting of Nagas.
  2. To protect and promote culture, tradition, languages etc., of the different tribes and also encourage and preserve the Naga Indigenous Games and Sports.
  3. To script the origin of the Indigenous games and sports and also its significance in the Naga society.
  4. To take up programs for the upliftment of Indigenous games and sports in various platforms.
  5. Diffusion of useful knowledge and promotion of welfare of individual member of the society.
  6. To improve and expand employment opportunity for the youths with a special view to providing guarantee of employment.
  7. To improve the economic, moral and social standards within and beyond the area of operation.
  8. To open and operate accounts in Bank's or to deal with Bank's in any manner whatsoever required for furtherance of the objects of the Association.
  9. To raise fund by way of share capital, deposits & borrowing from members, financing agencies and the State Govt. to carry out social welfare activities for the members.
  10. To venture in any other activities which would generate revenue so as to promote the indigenous games.

ARTICLE OF ASSOCIATION

ARTICLE-1: MEMBERSHIP

i. Any person having an interest in promoting the Naga Indigenous games and sports shall be a member of the Association.

ii. The membership fee for the enrollment of a member in Society will be Rs.300 for one year and at the end of every financial year a member is required to renew, subject to fulfillment of the prevailing terms and conditions of the Society.

ARTICLE-2: GOVERNING BODY

ARTICLE-3: GENERAL BODY

The general body shall consist of all the registered members of the association.

ARTICLE-4: MEETINGS:

  1. There shall be a general meeting at least once in a year. In case of emergency, the President shall summon extraordinary general meetings.
  2. In the general meeting 1/4th of the enrolled members present shall form the quorum. Functionally non-resident members (i.e. enrolled but posted outside Dimapur District) who are unable to attend shall not be included to calculate the required quorum.
  3. A deferred meeting shall not require a quorum to conduct the business of the house.
  4. In case of emergency meeting, no quorum shall be required to conduct the business of the house.
  5. In case of tie, the President of the society shall give the ruling.

ARTICLE-5: IMPEACHMENT:

The members of the Executive Council/Governing body may be impeached from their office on receipt of a formal letter addressed to the President or the Vice President for gross misconduct which may be financial, moral or any act or omission which is against the interest of the association by 2/3 majority of the General body.

ARTICLE-6: AMENDMENT OF THE CONSTITUTION.

The constitution of the society shall be amended, repealed, constructed by or 2/3rd majority of the general body meeting.

ARTICLE-7: DISSOLUTION/LIQUIDATION

For any reason whatsoever if the activities of the Association of Naga Indigenous Games and Sports come to stand still or to be wound up the Association shall in a meeting specially conveyed for the purpose dissolve the Association by a 2/3rd majority after giving 3 days written notice of the meeting with specific instruction of the propose thereof and on dissolution the assets of the Association shall be liquidated and distributed amongst the members with due consultation of the legal advisor.
